Thought I would share, as I am new to a Mac PC this is all new to me. HP had a link to Apple site for HP printer drivers for OS X Lion and later when I searched for HP LaserJet 1020, on the Apple site under “HP Printer Drivers v3.1 for OS X” was a download button, after the seamless download (although it did download lots of other HP drivers) I selected the compatible print driver. Can any one help in guiding how can I install Driver of HP Laserjet 1020 Plus printer in Mac Book Pro having Mac OS Sierra 10.12.5. I shall be highly obliged.
How to install HP Laserjet 1020 driver for Mac OSX?
HP LaserJet 1020 and 1022 printer series hostbased Plug and Play basic driver. The Plug and Play Bundle provides basic printing functions. Windows 8 Support. Download Hp Laserjet 1020 Plus Driver For Mac Os Click the plus sign and select the listed 1020 printer. Within the use drop down menu click on select printer software, locate and select the hp.
HP Laserjet 1020 printer model is quite old and outdated and officially does not support Mac’s but there is a workaround if done correctly, you can use the printer with your Mac’s.
This is what you need to do.
- Download HP driver bundle https://support.apple.com/kb/dl907?locale=en_US
- Turn on the HP laserjet 1020 printer and connect to your Mac PC through USB cable.
- Add new printer select the plus sign.
- On the HP printers list select HP Laserjet 1022 (not 1020)
- Once installed print a test page.
The above trick should also work for HP Laserjet 1020 plus model in Mac.
